What are Dental Crowns?
You can think of a dental crown as a “cap” over your existing tooth. Crowns are used to restore the shape, strength and appearance of your tooth due to damage or decay. Your tooth can lose its shape due to a number of factors including the repair of a cavity or a chipped tooth.
Are Dental Crowns Painful?
You should not feel anymore discomfort than a typical filling due to the numbing agents we use. If you start to feel pain we will make adjustments to create as much of a pain-free experience as possible. You will be well cared for at South Fallsburg Dentistry.
Types of Dental Crowns
Temporary Crown – These are used to cover your tooth until a permanent crown can be made.
One-Day Crown – Sometimes it is possible to have a crown formed on your first visit so a temporary crown is not necessary.
Onlay or 3/4 Crown – This is a crown that only covers part of the tooth.

- porcelain
